Head of Vega College: Miss Galloway
Miss Galloway joins us from Hungerhill School and is our Designated Safeguarding Lead at Vega College.
Miss Galloway is looking forward to leading the College and expanding the provision to offer more places to students in the Doncaster area.
Miss Galloway has worked in mainstream Primary and Secondary Education, Special Schools, the Private Sector and the PRU system and has post-graduate qualifications in Special Educational Needs and Inclusion.
Miss Galloway is passionate about inclusivity and ensuring all students feel that they have a place and value within the education system regardless of ability, past experiences and additional needs.
Teacher: Neil Dexter
Mr Dexter joins Vega as our maths teacher. Mr Dexter started his teaching career in Barnsley before moving to work at a SEMH school in Sheffield, teaching a range of subjects across both Key Stage 3 and 4.
Teacher: Charlotte Coltart
Miss Coltart grew up in South London and moved to Sheffield in 2015 to study BSc (Hons) Human Biology at Sheffield Hallam University. Miss Coltart has worked across a couple of schools in Berkshire and Sheffield, teaching all three sciences and specialising in Physics.
Curriculum Lead: Miss Taylor
Miss Taylor joins Vega as our Curriculum Lead, she has a wealth of experience working with young people with educational needs, and has worked at Vega previously.
She is passionate about the curriculum and is currently teaching students English, but specialises in History.
Miss Taylor is passionate about education and is looking forward to helping students grow and achieve their full potential whilst at Vega College.
Learning Mentor: Mrs H Picton
Holly is a Learning Mentor at Vega College. Throughout her career she has worked in roles that have supported young people to reach their full potential. This has mainly been in education as a Health and Social Care Teacher at Doncaster College, but she has experience working as an Residential Childcare Worker. Holly believes every young person has the right to access education and is passionate about mental health awareness.
Administration Assistant: Miss Claire Bubb
Claire supports the team and Head of Provision with communications to schools, external agencies and parents and carers. Claire has a wealth of admin experience from previous positions.
Receptionist: Chloe Vickers
Miss Vickers joins Vega with a wealth of experience in administration, and is the first point of contact for all communications. Miss Vickers is looking forward to supporting the students and the team at Vega.
Unqualified Teacher: Miss Olivia Cross
Miss Cross joined us from Sir Thomas Wharton and started as our Pastoral Support. However, she has recently started her Teacher Training, and is looking forward to the next steps towards becoming a Teacher at Vega College.
Miss Cross is looking forward to supporting all the pupils and working with them and their families. Miss Cross is passionate about creating opportunities for young people and always puts pupil's health and well-being at the forefront of their education.
